Garcia, to me, is in Streisand territory. Would pay any price for primo seats. Worth more than a Super Bowl or World Cup final ticket.

My first was $ 5 bucks (went for a Winterland show that was during the week and only paid $2, but it wasn't billed as the DEAD if I recall; the $ 5 was for those terrible Oct 74 shows that JOTS is always droning on about...sorry, inside joke). Don't think I got to much above $ 15 or 20? Stopped in 82, but paid WAY more for other shows since...

And, yeah, I'd be HAPPY to pay that amt ($50-$100) once a yr to see someone I really like (DEAD of 68, CREAM of 67, etc.), and sit in relative comfort rather than dodging BD's barf and SDH's dirty shoe.

Talking about coin at a Dead show .I also paid a whopping $2.00 at the Cow Palace for the roll out of the Wall O Sound pa .They were not that convinced that it would work or work the way they intended so they stamped the tickets Sound Test and charged the 2 bucks. In reality it was of course visually impressive but at times it was out of balance instrumentally wise which was later cleaned up beautifully on the cd.
